David maintains a commitment to passing on the knowledge of the metalsmithng craft to both aspiring crafts people as well as the greater community. With a focus on traditional blacksmithing, David has served as presenter and educator in a variety of venues.

Guild Of Metalsmiths: David has taught Basic Blacksmithing. Also, has initiated and conducted classes in Forge Welding.

Chicago Avenue Fire Arts Center (CAFAC) Minneapolis, MN. David Will be teaching the fundamentals of blacksmithing. This ten week class will be held Tuesday evenings from 6:00 to 9:00 PM, July 6th through September 7th, 2010.

Minnesota State Fair: 2010 will be David's 11th year as a featured blacksmith in Heritage Square at the great Minnesota get-together. Aside from the electric light and the fire extinguisher in this shop, it is back to the nineteenth century, and it is the "real deal."
